Pilot Heated Windshield Assembly, Left
- The windshield is a laminated construction of two structural plies of 0.350 inch-thick (8.9 mm-thick) stretched acrylic and a non-structural 0.125 inch-thick (3.18 mm-thick) chemically tempered outer ply
- The anti-ice heating system is encapsulated in polyurethane interlayer inboard of the outer layer glass ply
- Two temperature sensing elements are installed next to the heating element to provide thermal control information
- The outside surface of the outer glass face ply has an electrically conductive coating to provide electrostatic charge dissipation and can be electrically checked to determine it’s serviceability
- Surface Seal water repellant applied to the outer glass
